Are you looking for traffic attorneys Ypsilanti MI?
Ypsilanti is located in Washtenaw County, Michigan and may be best known for being home to Eastern Michigan University. The word Ypsilanti is often pronounced with a Y in the front but actually should be pronounced with an I in front. Many just use the nickname Ypsi to make it easier. The town started out in 1809 as a trading post by the French Canadian, Gabriel Godfroy. The settlement was set up along one side of the Huron River under the direction of Major Thomas Woodruff and later became known as Woodruff’s Grove. On the other side of the Huron River another town was being established with the name Ypsilanti after a Greek War hero named Demetrios Ypsilantis. Eventually the two towns merged and took the name Ypsilanti. Today you can see a bust of Demetrios along with an American and Greek flag at the base of the cities iconic landmark, the Ypsilanti Water Tower. The town of Ypsilanti today has grown to a thriving college town of approximately 20,000 people.
